has been here since 1828.

We are dog friendly in the bar area but ask that

paws are kept on the floor.

We have Live Sports on our big screen, and

we welcome families with children.

sourced from local suppliers wherever possible.

We serve food Monday to Friday:

Lunch: 12 noon to 3pm last orders 2.30

Evening: 5pm to 8pm last orders 7.30

Saturday: 12 noon to 3pm

The Bush Inn's most warm and welcoming team (and not a single criminal record amongst them, no matter what you hear..) includes: Tim, Paula, Paul, Hannah, Andy, Michael and Dylan, welcome the people of Cockermouth in a friendly and smiley way. "Aye, Its a grand laal pub" you’ll often hear people say when they're relaxing in our spacious bar areas. You’ll find Paul in the kitchen, and landlady Paula who as well as pulling pints, is just as likely to come and chat to you about that and this, ...this and that...while you're enjoying the wonderful pub fayre...and very good company she is too!

It's these ingredients that wraps The Bush into a perfect package of what any traditional Northern town pub should be… a place you’ll want to call your local… whether you're just visiting Cockermouth, or live round the corner.
